About the Role

Precise Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Safety Advisor to support operations at the Golden Pass LNG Terminal in Sabine Pass, Texas.
This role serves as a champion and leader of process safety excellence , driving a culture of proactive risk management, effective training, and continuous safety improvement across all operational areas.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic communicator with deep technical expertise in process safety management, risk analysis, and field engagement —someone who leads by example and empowers others to uphold the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Design and deliver training materials for classroom and computer-based (CBT) platforms.
• Facilitate process safety training for operations, maintenance, and control room personnel across all shifts.
• Support Engineering and Project teams through tailored training on hazard awareness and safeguard management.
• Provide leadership training and coaching to strengthen ownership of process safety at all organizational levels.
• Develop and lead Critical Safeguard (CSG) training sessions to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.

Risk Management & Technical Safety

• Conduct risk screening for new and modified processes, projects, and operational changes.
• Lead or support structured risk assessments (Scenario-Based, What-If, Checklist, LOPA, Bowtie).
• Actively participate in HAZOP reviews , providing technical input and alignment with PSM standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, and Operations to integrate risk mitigation strategies into design and execution.

Field Engagement & Communication

• Develop and deploy field-facing process safety materials (visual bowties, hazard posters, digital signage, safety dashboards).
• Conduct field walks and coaching sessions with operations and leadership teams to reinforce hazard awareness.
• Support ongoing PSMS communication initiatives to maintain alignment across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Process Safety Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process safety or risk management within petrochemical, LNG, or refining operations.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and process safety standards.
• Experience with consequence modeling tools (e.g., Phast) preferred.
• Proven ability to train, influence, and lead across multiple levels of an organization.
