The Opportunity
The Senior Digital Portfolio Business Partner acts as a strategic interface between the GPN Business Unit and IT, developing strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring strategic alignment between long-term technology strategies and wider Business needs. They drive GPN technology strategy development and ensure the Business is connected with IT for solution discovery, service management, M&A (acquisition, divestment and integration) activities, and risk management. They are a senior IT leader responsible for enabling GPN to achieve its objectives through the effective use of technology, and supports the collation, analysis, and prioritisation of GPN IT demand against Business priorities.
~Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key GPN stakeholders to understand their business strategy, objectives, and priorities.
~Ensure the IT strategy is aligned with GPN business goals, providing guidance and recommendations on technology solutions in line with the Enterprise Architecture team.
~Oversee the major IT demand management process for GPN requests, providing line management to a Portfolio Analyst responsible for partnering with a cross-section of Business and IT stakeholders to collate, structure, analyse, and prioritise demand.
~Oversee the financial analysis and business case development of major GPN IT initiatives, ensuring delivery and operational costs are calculated against anticipated Business value to enable value-based decision-making.
~Oversees and maintains a strategic IT roadmap for GPN, reporting on value realisation.
~Partner with the Portfolio & Programme Management Director, GPN business stakeholders, Digital Strategy team and IT leaders to secure funding and oversee delivery of prioritised major GPN IT initiatives.
~Partner with the IT Change Lead to ensure GPN business context, technology change implications and change needs are understood and factored into any required change plans.
~Collaborate with HR (Talent and Learning) to support identify IT training needs in the GPN business, feeding these into the overall IT strategy and relevant Business stakeholders.
~Oversee M&A acquisitions, divestments, and all IT integration activities in relation to the GPN business (e.g., coordination of due diligence on potential acquisition or divestment opportunities).
~Champion the voice of the GPN business in IT leadership and governance meetings, including ongoing monitoring of KPIs and budget / roadmap development in relation to the GPN business.
~Acts as a key escalation point for the GPN business on IT delivery issues, ensuring IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The Skills you will bring to the team
~Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering), or equivalent experience.
~Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Agile, PMP, Lean Portfolio Management) are highly desirable.
~10+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, digital transformation, or business relationship management roles.
~Experience in the consumer goods industry is preferred.
~Proven track record in partnering with business stakeholders and building trust-based relationships to translate business requirements into IT initiatives.
~Experience overseeing complex IT portfolio and demand management processes, from initial assessment / business case analysis to delivery.
~Experience in aligning IT initiatives with business needs and overall strategic direction.
~Familiarity with digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and drive opportunities for innovation and business value.
~Experience in supporting M&A IT integration activities, including due diligence, post-merger technology planning, and execution within a global business context.
~Strong knowledge of IT service management and governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL), with experience in monitoring KPIs, budgets, and service performance metrics.
~Demonstrable experience in collaborating across IT and business teams to ensure smooth service delivery, effective incident resolution, and continuous service improvements.
~Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively at senior leadership levels.
~Builds trust-based partnerships with stakeholders, aligning IT strategy with business objectives.
~Oversees IT demand management and prioritization for Health & Nutrition and Dairy Nutrition initiatives.
~Leads financial analysis and business case development to support value-based decision-making.
~Manages IT integration for M&A activities, ensuring seamless transitions and business continuity.
~Identifies and drives process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency and value.
~Translates strategy into actionable plans using data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement.
~Drives change initiatives with agility, navigating uncertainty and fostering collaboration.
~Develops talent and promotes inclusive leadership to build a high-performing, innovative team.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $135,000 - $165,000 with an annual bonus.
